  • Comments Thread For: Mosley: Mayweather-Pacquiao Could Have Been a Draw

On May 2nd, former three division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley was an interested spectator at ringside, as he watched two of his former opponents square off in the 'Fight of The Century.' Floyd Mayweather Jr. won a twelve round unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao to unify the WBO/WBA/WBC welterweight world titles.

Mosley, who lost twelve round decisions to both fighters, viewed their match as a very close contest. He disagreed with the CompuBox punch stats, which saw Mayweather throwing a higher volume of punches.

Ouch. Some prominent fighters are finally coming out and acknowledging this.

And Mosley was Pro-Floyd all the way picking him to win comfortably.

I think Mosley is on the verge of a meltdown at the moment so this doesn't surprise me.

If you rewatch the fight, both of them only win 2 rounds very clearly, imo.

Originally, I had Floyd by a comfortable margin, but on rewatch with a friend, scoring together, its actually quite close.

Most of the rounds can go either way, really. The thing is in many of these rounds, Floyd perhaps got more punches in, but Pac got the better harder punches. But, Floyd also appeared more in control in terms of controlling the distance. I think that sense of control really made it feel like Floyd won those rounds.

I dunno, I think Floyd is the right winner, but it's actually close. Pac got in a lot more punches than I remembered, but they are so quick, and Floyd gets out of the way, that they don't look like much always.

He said Pacquiao won after the fight and then changed to Mayweather after watching it on TV, now he says it's a draw. Only seen Mosley and Holyfield say Pacquiao won out of all the fighters that have given their opinion. If we were to name all that said Mayweather it would probably go into the 100s.

That's no where near the worst of it. He had much more worrying and hilarious ones.

He also uploaded a video and forgot to take his ******* off the table. True story.
