This is conveniently forgetting that Canelo wanted to fight a guy tougher than Kirkland, only that guy didn't want to fight him.Comment
-
Since when has Canelo hid from anybody? Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, Lara and Kirkland are all tough or skilled fighters and I don't recall Alvarez hesitating to fight any of them.Comment
-
Are you forgetting They were negotiating. Canelo was the one that broke off the negotiations because he was begging for the may 2nd date. They could have fought June 12 but Canelo didn't want it he wanted the may 2nd dateComment

I heard one guy calling out for a big fight around then and it wasn't Miguel Cotto. Anyway it's clear Cotto wasn't doing much negotiating with anyone other than Roc Nation.Comment

Who Cotto? Because it was Canelo who left negotiations. Wasn't it Oscar who said it was going to be Floyd/Cotto 2 and not May/Pac? Yeah, his promoter **** his pants because his dumbass fighter has to beat Floyd in PPV because he can't in the ring. Because Canelo has some personal vendetta against Floyd doesn't mean Cotto has to hurt his own paycheck for Canelo's ****** grudge lol.Last edited by Beater_of_ass; 05-17-2015, 06:37 PM.Comment

After a month of trying to get a fight made, yeah of course he left negotiations.
Again go back and look at the news stories, a lot of them are "Canelo pushes for May 2nd fight" and a few of them are "radio silence from Miguel Cotto."Comment
