No you have to use facts. Facts are that Abel Sanchez didn't want the fight.
Sanchez has been very vocal about wanting the Qullin fight. So why not Lara?Comment

You can hardly blame him with the 2 people clapping, 23 people booing him, and 25 people sleeping in his last fight in Chicago.
Seeing that you'd be convinced Willie Monroe was more popular with the fans.
Usually when there is a mismatch like that you'd see more excitement because the fighter is showcasing his skills and the fans are oohing and aahing even guys that aren't punchers.
Not with Lara. Stone. Cold. Silence. No buzz for Lara at all.Comment

But he's not....so why distort the truth to make excuses for Golovkin. You can hardly blame him with the 2 people clapping, 23 people booing him, and 25 people sleeping in his last fight in Chicago.

Does Willie Jr even fight in front of paying customers?Comment

No because first of all I'm a fan of the game, I'm a Golovkin fan but I'm not emotionally attached to him, so I have no problem to admit a mistake if you show me the prooves. I'm here yo discuss (and admit a mistake if needed), you are here only to win the arguments. That's why I already asked you 3 questions because you seem to know something I may not be aware of:
So please answer those 3 questions if what you saying is true, you may be totally right and I'm not here to win the arguments, if you show me what I need to know I can say you were right without any problems than you could go to sleep fully satisfied, knowing that you won the argument on your favorite boxing forum. This is why you guys make me mad - I asked you a 3 simple questions because I was genuinely unaware of it and then 3 of you Haymon fanboys jumped on me, treating me as if you already knew I would not agree with you even if it was true and if you show me the prooves.Man Lara hasn't fought yet a good opponent from Haymon's stable (he can easily make a fight against them if he wants) and want to fool us Golovkin is ducking him? Anyways when was that and at what weight? Have they explained why they said no? I may be wrong but I haven't heard anything from Lara after his last fight.
And by the way Dirk, there isn't much of difference in popularity between them 2 - it's non existent.Last edited by StefanTosic; 08-07-2015, 11:14 AM.Comment

Only on here is Lara popular. Not in the real world.
I'd like to see GGG stomp out Lara. But I understand why his team would take a pass on him now.Last edited by Guest; 08-07-2015, 11:16 AM.Comment

i wasnt talking about you, i dont consider you a nutthugger, but it was a bad dump for many others, the article is here on boxingscene if you want to read it, but you already see that the most hardcore ggg fans cant deny this...No because first of all I'm a fan of the game, I'm a Golovkin fan but I'm not emotionally attached to him, so I have no problem to admit a mistake if you show me the prooves. And by the way Dirk, there isn't a very big difference between
Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs), believes Erislandy Lara (21-2-2, 12KOs) has done absolutely nothing to deserve a shot at his boxer. In the last few months, Lara - who holds the WBA/IBO titles at junior middleweight - has demanded a fight with Golovkin. Lara is not alone. Former WBC 154-pound champion Sergio Mora was also calling for a shot at Golovkin.Comment

No fight was ever offered. Lara's name was presented to Sanchez as a POSSIBLE opponent and Sanchez said no, it would not be an interesting fight. There were no prior discussions between Loeffler and Lara's people and HBO was never involved, nor was there any insinuation that Haymon had given Lara permission to fight away from PBC. In other words... there was no fight to offer.
If you are going to present an argument, at least present it fairly and honestly and include all the facts that are known.Comment
