I still favor GGG but watching him last night I wondered what would happen if Canelo was landing those punches.

I honestly don't think canelo brings power he's never seen before. I don't think he'd stand in front of him but if he has to, he can take the punch. Not sure canelo can take his.

Last week 155lb superstar Canelo Alvarez said he’s willing to fight middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin “in the future.”

Golovkin fired back at Canelo tonight. “No. Not for the future. I’m ready right now! I’m ready for Canelo and Cotto.”

Canelo then responded via Twitter, “When the day comes for me to move up to 160 I will face the best in the division. Sincerely and with humility I don’t see any real competition for me. Greetings to everyone!”

It's smart and sensible on Oscar's part to wait a while. Canelo is only 24 and hasn't fought at 160 yet. Once he moves up, racks up some good wins, it's a mega fight that'd be more competitive. I prefer watching Canelo so...#WarCanelo

I respect his opinion since he's been in there with Golovkin but I don't think Canelo has a chance. I know he has fast hands but his stamina is terrible, once he's gassed after 4 rounds GGG is gonna beat the shyt out of him.

His stamina looked okay against Lara. And chasing someone and missing is exhausting.

Maybe so but Canelo does bring combinations and precision, along with a strong body attack and GGG doesn't seem too "unstoppable" when facing those attributes. I once thought GGG would ko Alvarez but now I have my doubts, good fight nonetheless.

I've always thought Alvarez could win. It all depends on how his combinations affect Golovkin. If he can actually stop Golovkin with his shots, he could very well outwork and outbox him for a decision.

I've always favored GGG, though.

If he cycles some EPO and not draining himself improves his stamina maybe.

Monroe fought so much better on the inside than at distance it makes me wonder how Canelo would fare on the inside. This fight got a little closer in my opinion.
