Last week 155lb superstar Canelo Alvarez said he’s willing to fight middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin “in the future.”
Golovkin fired back at Canelo tonight. “No. Not for the future. I’m ready right now! I’m ready for Canelo and Cotto.”
Canelo then responded via Twitter, “When the day comes for me to move up to 160 I will face the best in the division. Sincerely and with humility I don’t see any real competition for me. Greetings to everyone!”
Yep Canelo knows..........hahahaComment

It's smart and sensible on Oscar's part to wait a while. Canelo is only 24 and hasn't fought at 160 yet. Once he moves up, racks up some good wins, it's a mega fight that'd be more competitive. I prefer watching Canelo so...#WarCaneloComment

After 4 rounds? Canelo can't even fight a full single round. He's going to lie on the ropes and get hurt.Comment

Maybe so but Canelo does bring combinations and precision, along with a strong body attack and GGG doesn't seem too "unstoppable" when facing those attributes. I once thought GGG would ko Alvarez but now I have my doubts, good fight nonetheless.Comment

I've always thought Alvarez could win. It all depends on how his combinations affect Golovkin. If he can actually stop Golovkin with his shots, he could very well outwork and outbox him for a decision.
I've always favored GGG, though.Comment
