That's so lame argument. Seriously. Some people believe more to amateur records than their own fucking eyes. I believe my eyes and I won't say to a guy who hasn't got a good defence that he has because some "amateur records".
Probably if on his next fight Golovkin would get KO'd there would be guys who would still say that "Nah, dude he couldn't get KO'd, that didn't happen, look at his amateur record, it's great."

RE: the Murray fight, I got a sense that GGG isn't a distance fighter because he's never had to be. If a fighter can survive 4 rounds all of a sudden it becomes a normal fight if his opponent doesn't make a ****** mistake.

Monroe's defense was terrible, period. Hardly any head movement and that's all GGG did was head hunt. I think I counted a total of 7 body shots the whole fight from him. That's fine, maybe it's not his thing. But Cotto has excellent head movement and GGG isn't nearly as fast as Pacquiao on the throws. Makes me think that Cotto might actually last the distance, and judges would give him the win.

The other issue with Gennady is that he needs range for that power because of how he throws. He basically haymakers every shot but he telegraphs like mad. I'm waiting eagerly to see him fight someone with tight defense. So far he's fought punching bags.

Last he was eating jabs way too much. Whether he allowed it or not was moot. It's like watching a more precise Ruslan.

Yes he did. It was early when you can see Monroe had no pop. GGG knew he had him already so i bet they felt even less.

He did look severely out of breath after the 4th I think. I remember he was breathing very deep trying to catch his breath and I couldn't believe that he was that winded so early on.

As for letting his opponents tee off on him, at times it did look like he was just waiting for the opponent to hit him and he wouldn't even put his hands up after getting hit. I mean for a guy at that level to not attempt to block after getting hit looks like it may have been intentional. I've seen him look nearly untouchable in some fights and completely vulnerable in others, I'm not quite sure what his game plan is but some of it does seem intentional.

At times he does. The Murray fight was the most obvious, in the later rounds he literally wouldn't even bother trying to block or move his head, it's not if he didn't see the punches coming he was looking right at them. Just trying to make Murray open up more so he could get through. He knew what Murray had behind those punches and clearly wasn't worried about it.

With Monroe there were a few instances, and there were instances were Willie just landed some good shots that GGG didn't see coming, that's the southpaw stance some of those shots are coming from the opposite side he's used to.

He dropped Proksa with a left hook to the body and TKO'd Macklin with the same punch. He will go to the body if he wants to but I agree with what you said about the fight last night, he was headhunting like crazy.

That may be something a combination puncher like Canelo can exploit whenever they do face off. GGG has an iron chin but his body may not be as sturdy, we'll find out in due time.
Yeah bro, he pulls straight back when coming out of the pocket.

I think GGG was gassed some and saves energy by not moving his head. He came out at the beginning of the round looking for big punches and a possible KO. If it didn't come he would go back to saving energy by not punching as much and not worrying about defense.
