  • Khan or D. Garcia - Who does the public want to see as Floyd's last Showtime fight?

    Cast your vote!

These are the only two legitimate and realistic candidates for Floyd's last fight on his SHOWTIME contract. These are the ONLY two viable options, so don't cry if your fighter is NOT included!

Thurman is too green and hasn't accomplished much in the sport. Canelo and Cotto are no goes due to contractual issues. And #48 has a "broken shoulder" and both Arum and Floyd insisted they will never work with one another again due to how many complications there were. That's all she wrote.

Anyway, the boxing public is usually on par with the general public/casuals as far as what we want to see next. So who gets your vote, Garcia or Khan?

Both are crap fights but I think Khan would be more exciting. Then again the fight of the century was dud of the century

My vote goes to Khan, and that is strictly based upon how HORRIBLE Danny looked against Herrera and Peterson. Garcia is going to look like an amateur with a "deer caught in the headlights" type of look to him. He won't know what to do and he'll check out mentally. It'd be a Guerrero-esque shutout.

Now Khan on the other hand is aggressive and has very fast handspeed. He'll lose too, but he'll put up a much better fight. Plus if he loses sight of himself mentally, he'll go out on his shield and get knocked out which will be hilarious to watch.

It's hard to say who it will be but given the fact that Floyd is at the top of the food chain he probably will choose Khan because he is a perceived threat by the boxing world. Danny Garcia makes sense of paper but nobody wants to see that fight. If that fight did happen I would be pulling for Floyd and hope he would push for the KO for once in a blue moon. If Haymon for some reason knew Floyd would take it easy on Danny and not do anything out of the ordinary then he'd probably like to have Floyd on Danny's resume. Even though it means little to those who know what Danny will always be subpar, it means a lot when your building a star. Idk though I see Danny getting protected for a little while longer, dragging out his reign in order for Haymon to cash in some day and disperse it with new PBC talent who would wreck him. Floyd's always trying to do something against the grain so I wouldn't be surprised if it was Brooke and yes Khan would be my first pick.

Why is Garcia more deserving than Thurman?

Anyway, Khan is the only viable option for Floyd at Welterweight.

Thurman is too much risk for not enough reward. That's not to say Thurman would do anything, but he literally has NO backing at all and his best win is Robert Guerrero who he went life and death with.

Garcia at least has wins over Peterson, Khan, Matthysse, Morales, Herrera, Judah and so on.

By the way, people like to act like Garcia has a big following but need I remind you that it's only recently that he's started to embrace his "Boricua" side. His fanbase consists of dudes from Philly and that's pretty much it.

Khan has fans here in the US and he has entire RELIGIONS backing him, along with the UK. Big stuff. He's definitely going with Khan if he still cares about high profile fights.

The thing is, no matter who he fights he's guaranteed an excess of 35+ million plus PPV.

Please god not Garcia, don't think I'd even bother watching.

Would be Floyd's worst opponent in recent memory.
