Gennady Golovkin vs. Willie Monroe is a 12-round middleweight world championship bout presented by K2 Promotions and GGG Promotions in association with Banner Promotions and the Forum. The fight will take place Saturday, May 16 at the Forum in Inglewood, CA. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. PT and the first bout starts at 4:45 p.m. PT., the HBO World Championship Boxing telecast begins at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Golovkin, 32-0 (29KO's) will be defending his World Boxing Association, International Boxing Organization and "Interim" World Boxing Council Middleweight World Titles against #2 ranked challenger Monroe, 19-1-0 (6KO's).

He definitely looks bulky. Wonder how much he'll rehydrate. Still, once GGG connects shots to the body, he won't be able to move as well.

Monroe looking bigger than Golovkin.

There's an unknown factor with Monroe, he could be a really special talent above alot of the fighters people are anxious to see Golovkin fight like Lara, Quillin, Jacobs, Cotto, Alvarez, or he could truly be another journeyman level fighter like Adama or Stevenson (who frankly gave Golovkin tougher fights than the higher ranked fighters like Geale, Macklin, and Rubio ever did).

Either way I'm looking to see how Golovkin handles this style and hoping Monroe does turn out to be something special and gives us a great fight.

Maybe not but they all look ****** doing it. Especially since it may represent the round he gets stopped in.
