And who is to say he is wrong on that? What counts more, one Golovkin power-punch or 5 Malignaggi jabs? The point I'm making is boxing scoring is very subjective with the criteria wide open to interpretation.



I'm not sure that's the case in the Phillipines. Their ringside guys scored it to Pacquiao, he has been welcomed home as if he won by his fans. Don't forget Roach said the same so why wouldn't Pacquiao believe he won.

For the record, I had him losing in a 7-5/8-4 kind of fight.

And one power shot does not count more than 5 jabs especially if you weren't even able to knockdown your opponent.

i scored it round by round and had the fight 10-2 for mayweather with 2 rounds could be going either way. mayweather pacquiao was missing alot do to mayweathers movemen along the ropes. that **** don't count and the judges saw that

This is what I thought too, like how else are you supposed to score a fight and amount up to a score?...I dunno man, for all the gracious and humble sides to Manny that we are shown constantly it is hard to see where these comments fit in with that. Yes he is saving face and arguably planting foundation for a rematch but I really do not think he won that fight.

Floyd's range/distance and timing, and yes spoiling tactics at times, turned Manny into half the fighter he was supposed to be/usually is and offset the one approach Manny had. His aggression was neutralised bar a small handful of moments which in a 36 minute fight does not really sway it. Injury or not, that has nothing to do with how Floyd controlled him, the injury has to do with his own attack which as we saw was not able to get off anyway 80% of the time anyway BECAUSE of Floyd. Injury or not, he lost this fight and thats it.

I love Manny but come on man, Floyd put a muzzle on the dog, the dog then had to use its claws and hope it would be enough. Basically...

This has to be Manny's campaign to get a rematch; I can see no other reason for Manny to lose credibility with the vast majority of boxing fans.
Either that, or Floyd was hitting Manny a lot harder than I though a lot more often than I thought. P.S. Manny, give it up already.
