Hope it doesn't end that way, buts that's where it's headed.
    GGG could have moved up to 168 anytime in the last two years where he could have fought Froch, Mikhail Kessler, Arthur Abraham and Lucian Bute all in front of huge audiences. He could have lined up a fight with Bernard Hopkins or Kovalev at a catchweight. If he had beaten these guys and proven how great he is, it would have set up a superfight with Andre Ward for later this year or early next year.

    Instead, he chose to stay at 160 and fight sparring-partner caliber opponents. If his career ends the way you say it might, I don't have any sympathy for him.

        Quillin = HAYMON

        Lara = HAYMON

        Haymon means unable to fight on HBO. What is so ****ing difficult about that that people cannot get it into their brains? Are their brains too tiny? Are they too ******? Too ******ed? Just ignorant? Do they not follow the sport at all? I could understand some casual fan asking the question, but not someone who reads and takes time to post on boxing message boards. There simply is no excuse.

          You do realize that Froch was offered a fight, in the UK no less, and refused it? You also realize that Kessler has been retired for more than two years? You do realize that Abraham ducked GGG as a MW in Germany and would only do the same as a SMW? And you do realize that Bute is not a draw anymore nor is he much competition?

          And you also should realize that even Mayweather vs Ward would not be considered a Superfight? People would pay money to their cable provider NOT to watch it. Ward is not relevant in the modern boxing world and NO ONE is interested in watching him fight. THAT is why his next fight is on BET!!!!!

            Meanwhile, some think GGG's path to greatness is beating a former 140lb Cotto.

              - ward- hasn't fought in ages. Trainer hunter said he would need a couple tune ups before fighting golovkin

                GGG is way too small to compete at 175 or even a catchweight. Can you imagine him against Kovalev, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Mekhontsev, even Stevenson. Those guys probably re-hydrate close 190 pounds, man.

                People really hate GGG hahaha.

                    Not at all. Cotto is irrelevant, we just want to see the WBC title around the waist of a real middleweight champion, not some coward's waist. There is no glory in beating up someone who is afraid to get in the ring. He should just vacate the belt.
