After the Geale fight, if he wins, he has no excuse to avoid Golovkin other than he is afraid of him.

And don't say it's because the Canelo fight brings more money because if he was a true champion, he would feel he could defeat GGG and take the Canelo fight afterwards. Or is Cotto just another variety of ********** and will do anything for the highest bidder?

Golovkin vs Badou Jack is the fight I want to see. Lets see what Golovkin is really made out of.

If Golovkin was languishing on the sidelines staying inactive and waiting for a big name opponent, then I'd concede, it might not go well for him. But to contrary, he's fighting very frequently against the best opponents they can find and staying very sharp. I only see positive things in the future for GGG. He's charismatic, his style is very fan friendly and sooner or later he's gonna face a top opponent and have that 'signature win' that he needs.

How dare Cotto not abide by my time standards lol. You get mad and argue the dumbest **** over and over. It's been well documented why it took him a year to fight, all you do is ignore anything that doesn't fit in your bubble. I just stopped reading after the bold.

I do understand that Cotto has a voluntary. My point has always been we know he's going to retire soon so it would be nice if the fights got made a bit quicker.

Every good boxing fans hates it when their fighter fights once or twice a year.

            It's frustrating among other things.

What does it mean if GGG looses? He lost a fight out of 30 something? So what, was his opponents outstanding or did he stink?
Should we take him in the yard and shoot him?

Should we think that Wlad & Mayweathers perfomances are the model that all fighters need to emulate????

Grow up boxing fans and realize these are human beings fighting anyone can have a bad night and great fighters get bested once in a while!

I'm watching this fight coming and I'm hoping for a great matchup of skilled fighters. I rout for GGG because I like his methods but I don't hate Monroe in fact I meet his family member many years ago and that kids has some boxing genes in him if he's anything like the "Worm" Monroe a terrific middleweight competitor!
So lets have a competitive bout and the boys fight at their peak and may the best man win (that night) be safe and show some class after the bout is over!

And it's known that HBO didn't have the budget for Cotto to fight in December as it was planned. They ended up doing Canelo/Clottey but then Canelo hurt his ankle practicing ballet I think it was. They couldn't afford Canelo and Cotto at the end of the year in the same month.

Cotto said we'll see early Janurary. Well at that point Manny/Floyd was starting to heat up and the entire boxing world was waiting for that. Still, during this time he was negotiating with Canelo (maybe Floyd as well) to make a fight happen. He wasn't trying to not fight, just **** happens.

By then GGG is 36+, past his prime, and he's done. Hope it doesn't end that way, buts that's where it's headed.
The GGG promotion ends nexty year with a loss to Ward at 168.

I told yall May v Pac was happening in 2015...back in 2013. I'm telling you now that this is happening too.

So after this Paul Smith thing, who do you reckon Ward will fight?

Well documented? By who, exactly? Cotto's apologists? Too bad if Roach was busy with Pac, that did not stop other fighters he trains from fighting. If a trainer can only handle one fighter at a time, then he should not take on other fighters or those fighters need to look for another trainer. As for HBO not having the budget in December, that is ONE month out of the TWELVE Cotto will have been out of the ring. GGG has had FOUR fights in this time period and Cotto could have been the opponent for any one of them if he had the spine for it.

You can 'document' as many excuses as you want but they remain excuses and nothing more.
