I believe Hopkins said he bet on himself vs Trinidad.
Why doesn't Floyd bet on himself?

Well we're not all from the same country, here in England it's illegal. I'm glad it is too, if you bet on a specific round then you might lay off till that round and that screws everyone else who bet on you winning in a different round. It's illegal!
It's illegal!
It's illegal!
UM NOT IT'S NOT.
Why do people just run and repeat what the last guy on the thread said. It is perfectly legal in this country to make a legal bet on yourself and it's been done by professional boxers before.
As to the OP's question, no one really knows if Floyd has ever bet on himself so it's an impossible question to answer.Comment

Oh yeah, I believe it's legal for sure. Just ruminating on the potential problems.
Like you said ko2 would send red flags up. And especially if big money was placed on that there would definitely be an investigation.Comment

You'd get caught in a heartbeat. When they fix fights historically they often have the guy fall very early because the theory is a lot of stuff could happen if you pick a certain later round. The other guy could get injured etc.
And if u fall early there is automatically more su****ion so u just have to lie ur ass off.
I love the topic of fixing fights. It probably shows in my posts. LOL.Comment

He probably does bet on himself. There was an interview where FLoyd stated that he doesn't like to bet on other boxers because boxing is unpredictable & he used to lose a lot of money betting on boxing. He likes to bet on NBA games though.Comment
