    *Cant relinquish belts.
    3. The first to hold 3 WBC titles.

    4. Strap in sixth weight class.

There's only one person.that can offer all that in one night, and that's Miguel Cotto.

Cotto holds the WBC strap which is controlled by Suliman. Which I believe will bend to be part of a night like that. Not to mention, he will bend for Mayweather.
    War Mayweather-Cotto 2!

OOOh, Floyd's "fighting" again in September, in another $100 PPV snooze fest? If I want to catch some zzzs, I don't need to drop $100. Pass.

You're acting as if the revenue from that 4.4mil buys is all going into showtimes pockets. Half of that 4.4 has to be split with HBO leaving 2.2mil to be split between the 2 networks. The fighters/promoters split the other half.

Look at it this way, CBS made $60M after Mayweather-Guerrero+Mayweather-Canelo in 2013. This fight made almost 3 times the revenue than Mayweather-Canelo alone. So even their split is larger than the entire pie of Mayweather-Canelo. Plus they got a better deal with the cable companies for this fight.

Yeah but this half makes it the 3rd highest selling and the highest grossing PPV.

It would be the equivalent of Showtime putting on a ppv card that does 1.1mil buys.

mayweather might just take canelo's food from his mouth by picking cotto as his final opponent. Cotto surely chooses mayweather as opposed to canelo.

                    BUT...

We have to think about the situation between Jay z and al haymon, last I heard they hate each other's guts.

You sure? Event sold 4.4 mil ppv's-half is 2.2 mil. The price was $100, which is much more than the other ppv's.

I saw a post that the ppv's adjusted income was $154 mil for either Floyd ODH or Canelo, which was the highest grossing ppv prior to this.

                      I believe 2.2 mil x$100 exceeds $153 mil.
