[SMH] Why is Andre Ward excluded from Cliff Rold's P4P list?

What upset me more about that list is how out of whack it is. This is what mine probably looks like right now.

5. Sergey Kovalev

7. Timothy Bradley
8. Carl Froch
9. Juan Manuel Marquez
10. Gennady Golovkin
11. Terrence Crawford

what's your criteria? rigo at #3 is ridiculous

Because he hasn't had a significant win in nearly 4 years and hasn't fought at all in a year and a half. He should be off P4P lists.

Ward would also enter when he fights again, but doesn't deserve a spot over fighters who actually fight.

as of right now, he's been too inactive to stay ranked.


i will say this:
ward's hands and shoulders needed to heal. the only thing that can facilitate that is several months / years without a pro fight in a 10 oz glove.


ali, robinson, louis, all took time off from fighting for one reason or another.

1. Mayweather (justified)
2. Roman Gonzalez (way too high considering lack of comp)
3. Pacquiao (what a joke being this high up)
4. Rigo (justified)
5. Bradley (or nah)
6. Marquez (or nah)
7. Froch (what a joke, Froch is garbage)
8. Kovalev (not justified unless he beats A. Stevenson)
9. Estrada (whatever)
10. Klitschko (somewhat justified)

Where on Earth is Andre Ward? Where's Terrance Crawford? Danny Garcia? This looks like a Top Rank shill's P4P list. Something Ronnie Nathanielz or Steve Kim would write.

I agree that #2 is too high but I would say that Gonzalez competiton is pretty good.

He's been champion a long time and has beaten quite a few good fighters.

I can understand why he's not on the list. He's been dropped from lots of P4P lists due to inactivity. He hasn't fought for 18 months and has only fought twice since beating Froch in 20011.

Once he's back in the ring again, he will right back up there.

Really, no Canelo? Garcia? Khan? Santa Cruz? GGG? Crawford? Not saying all these are top 10 P4P,
but Froch, should not be on the list, Marquez hasnt done anything in a year, Pac is too high up, Estrada, Rigo and Gonzalez still need to show more
