Loma learns when he is in the ring, so why keep him so inactive. Keep him active right now that you can, obviously once his career advanced he'll only fight 2 or 3 times but right now he needs to gain experience though.

I like this fight a lot though! The only thing that worries me about Walters is that power! We still don't know how good Loma's chin is, I've never seen him hurt but he has never been there with someone with Walter's power. I want to see how Loma neutralizes that power.
Who knows, maybe they can squeeze an easy fight in before or after the unification bout. (I know this isn't part of the contract but it could probably be arranged). I'd certainly prefer him to be more active, and I think he will be from 2016 onwards.

In regards to his chin, i'm with the belief that he has an iron chin similar to GGG. He's never been dropped from what I know and I have never seen him visibly hurt, in fact he takes shots very well when he does get hit (rarely). However, you are right that Walters presents probably the most power he has ever had to deal with. Will be interesting to see what happens.

What I will say also regarding his chin - he does his most effective work on the inside due to his very short reach, and you need to have a solid chin to be able to consistently fight in that danger zone.

This fight might be too early for Loma but am still rooting for him.

Oh Hell Yeah!!! Lomachenko's got this!

Walters should just scrap his scheduled fight he has next month.

I hope they keep him active. If they intend to market him and make him into a decent draw they should take the GGG route imo. He also needs to stay active to learn and perfect his craft in professional boxing. I just hope he doesn't have brittle hands.

As you can see from my name, Loma is my favorite boxer and I've been watching him since the 2007 World Amateur Championships, I've also never seen him hurt or bothered at all by a punch. But at the end of the day those were the amateurs and he hasn't fought anyone with the type of power that Walters has in the pros, that's why i'm a little worried and I hope Loma is cautious at first. Walters is the hardest punching Featherweight we have seen in a long time. But Loma is such a great defender, I'm so freaking confident in this kid.
I feel like he can clean up the 126-135 division in like 3 years, no joke. Just imagine the names he could on his resume in only a few years: Walters, Gradovich/Selby, Rigondeaux, Uchiyama, Miura, Martinez, Salido, Vargas, Gamboa (if he can make a comeback and stay active). We can't count the Haymon fighters because they won't fight him.
