Bernard Hopkins should be proud, Pacquiao too a page out of his book, Pac must have watched the Bernard Hopkins vs Chad Dawson fight where B hop quit and faked an injury of his shoulder, Wait wasn't he in attendance for that fight supporting Linares?

Bernard hurting his shoulder against Dawson wasn't a ploy. He may be a phenom for how he's performed into old age- but he was still... what? 46 years old? Nobody can escape father time. Smaller and stranger injuries can happen and can greatly affect an athlete as they age. Plus that happened in the ring, not before the fight.

Besides, they made the rematch, Bernard lost. That was the end of that.

Everything Bernard said in this is correct. I think Pacquiao made multiple bad judgement calls.

I partly wonder if he only did it to get under Floyd's skin because he genuinely doesn't like him. But it seems the hit to his own reputation is out of balance for that to be the case.

Former champion and partner in Golden Boy Promotions, Bernard Hopkins, has no sympathy with Manny Pacquiao's reasons for underperforming against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao entered the contest with a pre-existing right shoulder injury. He claims he further aggravated the injury during the fourth round of action. The injury was first revealed during the post-fight press conference after the fight. Pacquiao has now had surgery for the injury and likely won't return until the end of the year or early 2016.
