I've been thinking about fighting styles since "The Fight." What's ironic is Floyd Mayweather (Lara, Whitaker, Rigo, etc.) is more "El Matador" than Canelo, but Mexicans don't like him. Mayweather is more "Ip Man" than Manny, but Asians don't like him. Shouldn't Asians be more adept at "hit and don't get hit," knowing the history of their fighting styles? Shouldn't Mexicans appreciate the skill of "making one miss," since they (at least they used to) applauded the skill of a small man making a big, angry bull miss, using the bull's rage and lack of intelligence against him? Since when did "Rocky Balboa" become the standard? Since when did Ward vs. Gatti become the standard? Anyway, i'm not knocking anyone's taste in fighting styles, but I do find it ironic that Asians and Mexicans have a problem with Floyd, Lara, and Rigo, when it's obvious that those fighters have been influenced by their historic style, and yet, they are losing (Tomoki Kameda, Manny Pacquiao) when adopting a foreign style. Just a thought! Holla if you hear me!

Had the fight with Kovalev been remotely close I wonder what type of shananigans Hopkins would have pulled/spewed.
Exactly. BHop a punk. And he is an obvious roider too.

            Just stoppit willya

You have said some real dumb shht over the years hugh_grant lol

There was obviously nothing wrong with Pacquiao during that fight.

And the fact that you think Pacs low output is evidence of an injury makes you look really ****** imo

Kid, every single Mayweather opponent - without exception - suffered a massive drop in output..... are you telling me that they were ALL injured?

            All 48 of them ?

Knowledgable posters have been saying for years that Mannys output would plummet against Mayweather due to Mayweathers accuracy/precision..... just like all of Mayweathers other opponents.

I am not surprised that even after watching the fight, you still have no idea what actually happened...... that is actually pretty funny to me lol

Pac has excuses. His fanbase has excuses. Great fit for each other. Thank you Floyd and Marquez.

Pac really shamed himself and his fanbase and gave them a false sense of his abilities going into the fight with Floyd. They saw what Pac did to Algieri, not knowing he was in a smaller weight class and wasNOT even close to being the best there either, and had high expectations of him. He con'd everybody. The outcome shouldnt have been a surprise if you look at the opposition level Pacs been competing at.

Its like Pacquiao fans were not even aware of that fact.

That fight should have never happened.

Mayweather would have been ridiculed for fighting Algieri.

If Pacquiao was on Mayweathers level, he would have been fighting better opponents.

                  Marquez proved that.

Die hard boxing fans are crucifying Pac right now, but his excuse is legit. Main stream buys it but it doesn't matter what you bum i diots thinks. Pac is f vck ed up in the head, that's all I have to say and right now, Floyd is the TBE! I am glad it is all over!

And Floyd DID better with a more severe injury.
