Let HBO be salty though. If Floyd decides to go for 50-0 and he's a free agent, they'll change their tune. Floyd knows this so I believe he's waiting and observing everything they're doing to devalue his career, win over Pacquiao and his style of fighting just to milk them for everything once that day comesComment

Floyd above 140 is boring, Wlad is boring, Rigo is boring, Carlos Pedo Molina is boring, Miguel Vasquez = the epitome of boring.
Floyd is the anomaly here, he went from a man who used his full boxing ability to a guy who focused on safety and health first. Floyd has the ability to take chances and excite but ever since he became a cash cow he stopped caring about putting on displays of brilliant offensive artistry. The reason he is the odd man here is because the guys listed who are boring have pretty much always been boring guys, Floyd used to be exciting at 130 especially he would let his hands go, throw blazing combos get out, come right back with a shot etc.
Those are the facts, who cares, its not an insult its just true, the guys above are boring. The people who say you just don't understand the sweet science are delusional, these guys are boring, no way in hell could you watch any of these fighters full fights on replay unless you live vicariously through them and have an out of body experience transplanting yourself in the fighters body during the fight or you like them for other reasons other than boxing.Comment

or the NBA players scoring two baskets, then running out the clock at every possession.
This list has nothing to do about skill level, that's what these casuals fans don't understand. You can have highly skilled fighters who stink up fights as poorly skilled.
It's more about styles of fighting, courage to take risk, to entertain, the main purpose boxing was created in the first place.Comment

Sweet science nothing. It's different strokes for different folks but you think a guy like ruslan will be around the sport for as long as wlad or floyd? If he is, he'll be in the Jose Luis Castillo category where he's fighting to collect a check and taking a damn good beating doing so.
These guys are in line to be showcased and replaced in a matter of fights. You may not care much, and that's your right, but at least try and understand that sometimes your life after the sport matters as well. As far as replaying their fights go, you have a point. But that's your right. I can sit here and watch a rafa-izzy, or a tapia-ayala fight as well as a Rigo-nonito schooling. That's just me. I appreciate all styles not just the one defined as the sweet scienceLast edited by hhs661; 05-12-2015, 04:10 PM.Comment

Then why didn't Manny do so? Had he, then you would have been trying to entertain, the main purpose boxing was created in the first place.
Styles do make fights. What HBO wants is guys that lose great to their stars, not exciting style matchups. Is that what you as a fan of the sport wants?Comment
