So, Marquez is upset that Mayweather wasn't drained as he expected? Do hatred and envy turn people into idiots that that they ignore the words that are coming out of their mouths?
Do you know how to read??? Envy and hatred? marquez was mad at the whole situation that played out by Golden Boy being more of a promoter for PBF than him and the unprofessionalism of floyd coming in overweight.
I have always heard JMM saying PBF is the best right now in boxing and he also picked him to outbox Pac. Where is this hatred coming from?
I mean i like floyd as a fighter but there are some floyd fans that are so ridicoulus, biased, and get so buthurtt when people say the truth about him. I mean pbf said he never saw pac's win over cotto as a legit win because he weightdrained him. But then leading up to pac fight he claimed he got ktfo by marquez but he dominafed marquez.

Isn't that hypocrisy for you?
No. Mayweather was in Cotto's position in the JMM fight.
Coming overweight was NOT a good look for Mayweather. It was unprofessional and Marquez should've walked from the fight. I wouldn't have blamed him at all.
Question though. Mayweather outweighed Marquez by 4lbs in that fight. Pacquiao outweighed Marquez in fight 4 by....... you guessed it, 4lbs. Why couldn't Pacquiao make it work for him- if weight was such a contributor to the result?
Yeah, not a good look on "fighter of the generation" Floyd's part, but why accept the additional 600k and complain after the fact?
Hey, man, I like that. Floyd should be given a special ceremony by the boxing establishment and presented with a pure gold plaque laced with these words in precious stones: "BEST FIGHTER OF THE GENERATION", fits him perfectly.

Few pounds aside, Pac and JMM are the same size. They are both essentially lightweight fighting at WW. Floyd is a full WW in terms of weight/length. Makes a big difference.

When talking about these guys, it really comes down to styles. Mayweather and Pacquiao both top out at about 150lbs on fight night. But you're right about dimensions being different, but it really is the styles of each fighter that determines the outcome. Pacquiao and Marquez knock seven shades out of each other whenever they fight. Both struggled to lay gloves on Mayweather and Marquez always would regardless of weight. He has every right to be sore about the situation, but after he starched Pacquiao, he was in no hurry to give Mayweather another try.
Former four division champion Juan Manuel Marquez still has a bad taste in his mouth when he reflects on his twelve round decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2009.
The fight was agreed upon to take place at a 144-pound catch-weight to entice Marquez, who at the time was a lightweight, to move up by two weight divisions to fight Mayweather.
Márquez weighed in at 142-pounds, but Mayweather weighed in at 146-pounds - two pounds beyond the limit. There was a financial penalty in the contract which gave Marquez $300,000 for each pound over the limit.

Marquez is a truly great fighter, and one of my favorites......
But he absoloutely admitted that the catchweight was designed to disadvantage Mayweather, and that the only chance Marquez had was if the weight affected Mayweather and he came in "diminished".
We have 17 divisions today, catchweights should be abolished.
You will never convince me why I should drop my standards and accept mediocrity.
