BUT, I don't think Pac lost because of the shoulder injury. He lost because he wasted too much time trying to get Floyd on the ropes and ended up not throwing enough, thus not landing enough to win rounds.

Who knows what would've happened if Pac was 100%, it's all hypothetical. And I hate hypotethicals, thus my username (Fresh Prince reference).
Fact is Floyd won that fight (I gave Pac more rounds than the judges though). And Floyd won it because of a great game plan.
I'm convinced that Floyd is a better tactician than both Pac and Roach. But the I'm not convinced that Floyd is a better fighter or boxer than Pac.
I was very impressed by Pac's defense and counter punching during the fight actually.

I want a rematch just because I think mega fights like this should be fought more than once. I always said I would want a rematch no matter how lop sided the fight was.
Two rounds, 3 at best but nothing more.

What a surprise, your opinion that this guy is the best writer on the site coincides with the fact that he agrees with your point of view.

Max, let me introduce a new word to you. (incase you haven't heard of it) It's called

          F L O M O! or F L O M O S

It basically refers to a one way, narrow minded, fan boy, ball licker in a nutshell. and of course s#it for Brains..

          Why..

Because of the way Mayweather fans act when ever you say anything against thier idle. You are considered the enemy. Or because you acknowledge fact rather than exaggeration. You are a realist, none band wagon commentator.

I love what you do for the boxing world Max.
          Have fun when you encounter a F L O M O (S)

You mean idol not idle. However, I do agree with your position.

Just watched the clip of Max and his disgraceful plea to the public to continue to look at Manny as a hero. The chit is embarrassing. I like Max but this had to come from HBO execs. Manny and his camp plus HBO are the ones ruining boxing. But of course everything is Mayweather's fault. You idiots that buy into this shoulder BS are apart of what's wrong with boxing. If it was Floyd with this BS, he would receive death threats daily.

this is a case for "anti-accountability"
if you are going to buy into such a ****ty excuse from your favorite fighter, than you don't even believe in the spirit of competition. i boxed for a bit and the one thing i learned in boxing is that there are no excuses. that isn't a floyd may weather saying. you're own father should tell you that **** because excuses are for those who never even thought they could do it. to agree with pac and his camp is equivalent to saying that you would do the same thing and cry like he did, hold your head down in shame like he did and have the gull to tell people who enjoy your style that they wouldn't have even seen it because you went it with the expectation to not do as good as you promised you would. it's not the excuse thing, it's that there are people out there who even refuse the ideal of honor or loyalty. pacquiao lost all of my respect because he simply is allowing all of this to happen and it finally strikes me that his whole image is fabricated to the fullest. you can point at may weather and call him this and that but you can be a compulsive drinker and gambler and cheat on your wife repeatedly. that, then have people call you a good guy because you bring up God. pacquiao is a ***** in my eyes. freddy roach is a ***** and a **** trainer for accepting and pushing excuses onto the people he promised would see otherwise. i'm done with this and i'm not even surprised at max. it's clear he did a complete 180. feed your kids, we don't expect as much out of you as we did from "the fighter of the decade".

                READ THIS ARTICLE

And here are a few key quotes:

It’s the sporting world’s worst kept secret that Toradol has been widely used as somewhat of a legalized cheat or substitute “pep pill” for otherwise healthy players looking to be temporarily rejuvenated for the game. In a legitimately injured athlete Toradol completely masks the effects of that injury, allowing the player to perform as if nothing were wrong. In an athlete not suffering from a debilitating injury, however, it turns him into what could be described as a virtually indestructible force.

The NFL has especially leaned on the use of Toradol, with teams reportedly issuing across the board pre-game injections for their players, injured or not. This dangerous practice has been mentioned in several lawsuits against the NFL from ex-players concerned with the league’s lack of safety precautions.

Toradol, aside from reinvigorating the body, also masks the effects of cramps and, more importantly, wipes clean the symptoms of a concussion. Under the effect of Toradol, an athlete could be seriously injured and dangerously concussed without even knowing it until much later.

“…End the toradol shots...before the game,” said former NFL quarterback Chris Simms. “[it's] basically a super strong pain killer that makes your body numb. You could go run through the wall and you wouldn't really know it until two or three days later.”

Major league pitcher Jonathan Papelbon has also spoken publicly about the routine use of Toradol as a hyper-charged “pick me up” rather than a real pain management treatment.

Stop peddling this hit job of an article. There are 0 facts that Manny intended to use this injection other than to treat a legit injury. Just peddling the many uses of this drug is an obvious effort to plant in the publics mind that Manny wanted to cheat.

The problem with this moronic article and its accusation is that USADA approved Manny's use of this drug!

And people peddling this article wonder why they have to peddle it (like they are doing here), because no legit site is willing to put it up on their site.

I'm not saying he did you clown!! Just that it does happen!! And nobody peddles it because 1, it's not really a hit job....this stuff happens. I've SEEN IT........

Calm down............I'm not peddling anything. There are several other drugs besides toradol that are supposed to have no 'pep' or 'opiod' effects that do. We see it in substance abuse all the time.

I never said Manny used for that..........but let' say he had only for that injury and because of it's use, he felt was turned into an 'indestrutible force' for 40 minutes....would that have been fair?

It is on his list of meds and maybe if his doctor had used something that didn't completely masque the pain, they could have cancelled in enough time. But if you cover an injury with meds and then can't use those meds to compete, you're in for a rough night.

It wasn't fair to Manny, Floyd or anyone who paid anything for this fight.

If you jump to that conclusion, you're obviously a little too sensitive about the PED thing...........

But I also remember McGuire's chase for '62' and nobody talking about steroids and even after admissions, nobody wanted to believe it was as bad as it was.........this will eventually happen with some of these NSAID's as well as anti-seizure medications that pain-killer addicts use........see it daily.

                      NOW........

I had no rooting interest going in. I wish Floyd were more like Hearns, Duran and Hagler. But he's not, he's much more like Pernell Whitaker. He doesn't seek knockouts........just to outbox you. But when forced, is capable of pop.

He wasn't forced. And whatever the reason, too late to cry about it now. And it's the fault of 'TEAM PACQUIAO' that we didn't get a better fight. If their fighter had come in ready..........well, we'd be listening to some other excuse likely........

But to clear this up..........I ASKED to stop talking about these two. They are done. There will be no rematch.

Anyone who thinks Floyd was 'scared' or a 'coward' is idioitic.

Anyone who thinks Manny was not a threat, same sentiments despite the outcome.

I'd much rather talk about the emerging best fighters of this next set........including Andre Ward, GGG, Canelo, Kovalev, etc.

But when idiosy is reapeatedly crammed onto every thread.............smh....you can't help but show all sides and if you can't handle it?
