That rehydration clause got me heated. I'll make my prediction for the fight after the weigh in.

Porter just agreed to his 2nd loss. Spence is taking a risky fight as well Garcia is one tuff mutha Freaker and gonna give him all he can handle

Could this be one of the worst draining's since De La Hoya v Manny?
I don't particularly like any catchweight but surely Porter is going to be like a zombie at 144? at least he can rehydrate a little bit still, the damage might be done by then.
Although it's unfair to discredit catchweight wins like some of Mannys, or Floyd v Canelo or any others. If the opponent agrees to the weight then no excuses.
I just think Porter at 144 is insane..

broner has fought at 147 before so there should be no catchweight. Normally i'd say porter wrecks broner unless he holds like crazy, but since he will be so weight drained porter might look like crap

I made a comment the other day saying Broner wouldn't fight Porter and instead take on an easier opponent but if this fight becomes official much props to Broner. With that said i think Porter knocks this clown out. This will be a can't miss fight.
Edit: just realized the fight is in 5 weeks and at a catchweight of 144 lbs. oh well should still be a good fight but Porter might be in bad shape. Still can't wait.Last edited by PulpFriction; 05-11-2015, 09:06 PM.

I think people put too much emphasis on these catchweights. Were talking about world class athletes here. If they cant lose a few pounds over the course of a couple months then there's something wrong with that picture. Usually when a fighter drops weight, as long as he does it the way he's supposed to it should actually help them gain some speed and endurance
