The catch weight is disgusting I'm ****en sick of catch weights, and I don't even wana see this fight if it's going to happen at 144.

I like the PBC series, but I don't understand why he would have Broner vs. Porter @ a catch-weight of 144, when he could have Garcia vs. Broner @ 144.Comment

No need to be disgusted. There is absolutely no way this fight can happen outside of a catch weight. We all ready know Broner is to small for welterweight unless it's against someone with no punching power like Paulie Malignaggi. At 147 Broner would be destroyed within 3 or 4 rounds.
Personally I think it's a bit desperate and silly on the Porter camp to fight Broner at a catch weight of 144 lbs which puts them at a disadvantage. Porter is a big welterweight and he will likely be drained at this weight but hey, no one is forcing Porter to take this fight but it can only happen at a catch weight if these two are going to get in on.Comment

Since its PBC does that mean Porter can weigh 147?Sources close to the situation have informed BoxingScene.com that a welterweight showdown between Adrien Broner (30-1, 22KOs) and Shawn Porter (25-1-1, 16KOs) is close to being agreed upon for June 20th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on the Las Vegas strip.
NBC will televise the PBC series card that will be contested at a catchweight of 144 pounds. According to our sources, Porter's side has agreed to the fight and are waiting on Broner to sign the contract.
