WHy is Golovkins team calling out Mayweather instead of Lara, Ward, Degale??

These three have recently expressed a desire to fight Golovkin, they are all around the same size as Golovkin and will weigh similar to him on fight night, he would outweigh both mayweather and cotto by atleast 20lbs on fight night. But its clear these guys are scared of him, instead of constantly fighting the mathew macklins of the world why not challenge yourself, take the Carl Froch route and TAKE your respect by beating the p4p best fighters in the world like Ward & Degale, and to a lesser degree Lara?? Surely this is more $$ than the Daniel Geales of the world

You guys have all missed the aim of this thread. Im trying to say IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN, Mayweather and Cotto will not fight this guy because they know he's too big they cant beat him. Instead of Geale and Macklin why not do a Carl Froch and challenge yourself against the best around your weightclass which is easily Ward, followed by Degale, Lara, even Kovalev would be closer to him in fight night weight than Mayweather

You realize he's just saying he would love to fight Mayweather right? Who WOULD'NT want to fight Mayweather? It was the exact same when Oscar was around, everyone within 3 weight classes of Oscar wanted that payday and recognition.

As for DeGale, that's basically the same as fighting the Macklin's of the the world. He's not known here, not particularly impressive. But sure, if he's available to fight, fight him (pretty sure he's had a fight lined up with Andre Dirrell for quite some time now). Lara too (even though he's not a middleweight and smaller than GGG which was your problem with him fighting Mayweather who has belts at 154...and you have a problem with GGG calling out smaller guys but want him to fight bigger guys?).
