Mayweather messed up his right hand against Augustus and threw a RJJ-like series of left hooks to end him, messed up both his hands against Carlos Hernandez went on to outbox him still, even traded with Castillo towards the end. Pacquiao's efforts, especially after making those commercials are inexcusable.

Yeah he should have went all out at the end. I think Pac should retire. After that Marquez KO he changed his style totally and what made him what he was his gone. All that bs talk abt killer instinct coming back... its not happening. Its gone. A 09-10 Pac would have gone for the kill if he was down like that in a fight.

I think he can still beat most of the top dog a 140-147 but I think the love is gone, its all for the money at this point

Which is why I laugh at the trolls and the "knowledgeable" boxing fans when they try to compare the two. There's really no comparison. You KNEW Floyd was hurt. Hell I remember when he hurt his hand against Zab. It was obvious when it happened and as a result he told his uncle and stopped throwing that hand for a while. Still fought and won the fight.

Not the case with Manny and his "torn rotator cuff". Not at all.

Yes, the tape of the fight is so damning. I taped fight and I watched the replays on both channels. HBO often used a panoramic shot rather than show the corners, depriving fans of the audio. SHowtime showed whole fight.

Not one time does ANYONE in the corner ask about it. Freddie is bewildered as to why Manny isn't throwing combos, imploring him to throw them, even going into the 12th rd.

Messed up his right hand against both Baldomir and Corley as well. I don't see why people keep making excuses.

              Sure did.

It's convenient to make the excuses really. Then when his whole team repeated them, it make it that much easier. But as someone else said, he --and his team-- were embarrassed. Did all that talking and lost a wide decision. And the humble pie was too hot to eat so they went the excuse route. Not really out of character though, we've seen the excuses they made back in 09/10.

Manny had a chance to prove his greatness and he proved that his greatness was manufactured by TR and HBO.

Do you really expect his biggest and most ardent fans to admit this?

But why would Team Pacquiao be pursuing an injection if, per their new “official” story, the shoulder was fine as of the day of the fight? Petrocelli admits that doctors examined Pacquiao prior to the fight and gave him the thumbs up to go ahead.

Just pretend that Manny was Floyd and you would get all that happened. You will even embellish the story to protect Floyd.

The above post was similar to what has been said from the start.

I understand why you refuse to admit it.
Go check Floyd's so called injury against Castillo. Floyd was able to fight with it and raise his hands over his shoulders while holding the belt.

For Manny, USADA got the proof they needed and therefore OKed the pain killers. Now we are not supposed to believe USADA?

You are saying that the injury didn't happen before the fight nor did it happen during the fight. So then Manny had surgery for the fun of it? Just pretend Manny was Floyd and your head will be all cleared up from this confusion that you are having.

I love how the 48ers jumped in here on the first two pages thinking this was good news for Pac, then things took a woeful turn on them.
