    It wasn’t the largest crowd that had come to see Canelo Alvarez in Texas, but it was still quite sizable, an announced 31,588 people in attendance at Minute Maid Park, the baseball stadium that is home field to the Houston Astros.

    This was the second time that Alvarez fought in the Lone Star State. Nearly 40,000 had watched him top Austin Trout at the Alamodome in San Antonio back in April 2013.       Well, he is selling out arenas out there in Texas, so GBP should have him fight there. Maybe even at the Cowboys stadium. Even though if Cotto does get past Geale, I think that fight is big enough to take place in Vegas.

                  Good. Canelo is a throwback fighter and it only makes sense that real fans are allowed to go watch him fight. Floyd and Manny may fight in front of billionaires, but Canelo fights in front of the common man.

                          Pfft! Canelo vs Cotto in San Antonio will do 80,000+(Alamodome capacity= 72,000 but Mexicans fit 10+ people into 5 seater cars) easy with 3 months of promotion. Big buck$ for both guys.

                                  Texas is Canelo's second home and rightfully so. Hopefully Kirkland can bounce back. I like both guys.
