Anne Wolfe wouldn't have made a difference

Canelo beat Kirkland because he is a skillful brawler. He thinks in there, looks for openings to land his bombs if they are there but also creates openings by the combinations he throws.

Wolfe can motivate Kirkland and get him to be in monster shape but she is not exactly a technical specialist. Which is where James needs to improve if he is ever going to be more than just a tough caveman type of fighter.

Ann Wolfe is to Kirkland, as Freddie Roach is to Pacquaio. She is the brains behind the braun. Pacquaio without Roach is just speed and power with no gameplan or strategy. Similarly as we saw Kirkland without Wolfe has no gameplan, probably wouldve lost either way as Canelo simply hits way too hard for a come forward fighter, maybe he wouldnt have gone all out bum rushing him in round 1 with Wolfe and would've been more selective with a gameplan..

Wolfe doesn't instill any gameplan, she just gets the most motivation into Kirkland. That's how Kirkland always fights, Wolfe or not.

She wouldn't have made the slightest difference against Alvarez.

Forget the trainers, an active Kirkland would have done much better.

Kirkland was coming off a 17 month lay off and had only fought twice in last 3 years.

            Agreed.

At this point in his Career, lunging into Canelo with feet squared is only going to result in one outcome.

I agree, except we wouldnt have all these dudes crying about it

Kirk is a warrior, but he has no brains, Canelos would of stopped him inside 5 with Wolfe

Being more active is always good, and having motivation + great conditioning is a great asset. But none of that would improve Kirkland's defense or teach him to throw straighter punches instead of wide haymakers.

I actually think that James should consider working with Chepo Reynoso and his son. They seem to be turning Canelo into a pretty well schooled fighter who loses none of his punching power.

I agree. Kirkland also has a weak chin. Weak chin + poor defense + aggressive style =
