kirkland was there to be hit. canelo didnt need footwork to cut or run after a chicken. so it may very well be the same outcome. however added experience and maturity in the ring could help.

I don't think Alvarez beats any version of Mayweather, but he'd put up a better fight now because of what he learned the first time and in subsequent bouts.

I'm not ready to say that Canelo beats Floyd now, but Canelo truly leaned a LOT in the Mayweather fight and his tenancy to be passive at the wrong times is gone. I will say that Canelo at 24 or 25 beats Floyd at that same age. However, that hardly matters because they had a fair fight and Canelo wasn't competitive.

At 25 years old Floyd was ALREADY top 5 p4p. No version of Canelo beats any version of Floyd. Bad style matchup for Canelo. He needs a come forward fighter to look impressive and this is coming from a staunch Nelo supporter.

Canelo did what he was supposed to. Cotto did what he was supposed to versus Rodriguez. No credit was deserved, if they are what they say the are as Lupe Fiasco would say, they were supposed to do that. When you hate someone and no credit is given, is when you go into a fight a 3-1 underdog and the haters say the guy walking and running across the ring, was a cripple. That's not giving credit.
