in all fairness i was always crap but what's so great about beating kirkland? he's not even ranked, he had 1 fight in 3 years, has a seth mitchlel chin, and he was ko'd in 1 round by ishida.

Kirkland is a great offensive fighter but I agree with you defensively he is atrocious. I'm just making fun of Pac fans who are scared to death to give credit to a fighter that Floyd has beaten.

And even if Kirkland is not on an elite level, this fight shows that Alvarez is no walk in the park for anybody.

Well GGG is receiving a lot of credit on this forum for fighting trash opposition. Pac was praised for his wins against Rios and Algieri, so I think we can at least say that Alvarez fought well a dismantled a good offensive fighter and bad defensive fighter. Kirkland is a B- level fighter imo.

murray was trash??? geale???? two guys highly ranked at middleweight. geale was a former unified world champ. and murray imo beat martinez. and pac wasn't praised for rios and algieri. plus rios was a comeback fight after pac got completely KO'ed unconscious career ender and coming off the longest layoff in his career. also algieri was a world champ, undefeated, highly ranked at 140, coming off a big upset win against beast provodnikov, was much taller and rangier than pac.

kirkland isn't ranked top ten at jr middleweight, was coming off a more than one year layoff,and has a completely mediocre chin.

ggg beat 3 top 5 guys. that's more than what canelo has done and ggg beat them clearly unlike canelo. ggg also gets praised because he's trying to take on everyone at his weight class while canelo is fighting at his own weight class between 154 and 160.

Algieri is total utter crap, Kirkland level but at least Kirkland can punch. Rios is atrocious defensively.
