Kirkland was a punching bag with no defense and no head movement horrible.

The headline for this fight should be "B+ fighter KO's C+ fighter in a war" because that is exactly what it was. This was a fight that featured a guy with no skills against a guy with a decent amount of skills. It wasn't Hagler/Hearns and, even though it was much more exciting than Mayweather/Pacquaio, according to those clowns on HBO, it was only a fight that a boxing purist would watch or enjoy.

I personally thought it was a crappy fight by both fighters. Alvarez displayed very little defense and Kirkland displayed no defense.
