hbo is going to offer Floyd a contract after he finishes his showtime contract.

don't think for one second they won't give him a call, so they can have the rematch exclusively to themselves.

A lot of fighters don't check of injured when they go in not 100 percent, Floyd and Oscar were both given pain killers before fights and they were never injured. Why didn't they give Pac the shot? this is whats fishy to me. NSAC let a injured man in the ring, its the responsibility of the NSAC to cancel a fight for fighters safety.

I remember there was a fight where a UFC fighter said he hurt his arm an hour before the fight and he was scrapped from the card. NSAC should have either canceled the fight or gave the legal pain killers before.

They let the fight go on for money and let a man in with a disadvantage going in and injury, if they gave Pac his pain killers and let the fight go on than they would have a leg to stand on in the lawsuit, now they are equally at fault and canceled out their suit toward pac.

They should have just gave him the shot, after the fight they could have filed the lawsuit that he lied on his contract. Now they are trying to cover their tracks.
exactly and they're throwing Pac under the bus to save their behind. Not surprised man of integrity would retire after the fiasco.

Good post. Max was getting respect from all corners all week for his non biased interview and fair, firm questioning of Manny. Even his haters gave him props.

The stuff on the fight last night was the complete opposite. I understand espn and Hbo have a narrative they are pushing and they pay his salary so I wasn't surprised.

Guess money is more important than professional respect for max. I don't blame him- mortgage, gas, food are not paid with respect.

What the hell is all this hate on Max? He was just saying what the public perception and how there's a slight chance of the fight being pushed into consideration for next year if there's enough public clamor for it because of the shoulder angle. The fight was a clear win for Mayweather and if these forums are any indication, there's really no warrant for a rematch, but I'm sure there's still plenty of money to mine out of a rematch if they ever wanted it.

Max was saying all this on his radio show the week after the fight, so why are you all gaining up on him?

I don't see what he's saying as "trying to kiss ass" or "save his job" or "push HBO's agenda", he's always considering all the angles. And like it or not however far fetched it may seem, there IS still money left to squeeze out if both fighters were to meet again. I'm not saying it'll make anywhere near the amount they made for last weekend, but there's a nice chunk they'd take home if they decided to do it again...lop-sided win be damned.

we understand max has to do his job, its all a hustle, but it takes nothing away from the constant hypocrisy of team pac, and HBO... after 6 years of all this talk we just expected more professionalism from the 2 but its life

Not trying to justify/co-sign Team Pac's blatant BS by (falsely) pinning blame on USADA is NOT equal to 'saying something negative about the company you work'.
