It was cringe worthy.
Max Kellerman has sold his soul...

I used to defend Kellerman, but even attempting to blame USADA for this was, as someone said earlier, cringeworthy.

I agree with everything you said except the statement about Kellerman being the most level-headed person on HBO. That would be Roy Jones. Like Lampley, Kellerman has always been a huge Pacquaio fan, so I am not surprised by his comments.Someone must've sat him down after the post fight PAC interview and let him know where his bread gets buttered... The BS he was spewing prior to the Canelo vs Kirkalnd fight was at times delusional and other times flat out lies...
"PAC won 4 rounds on some peoples cards with one arm with two imagine what he could've done"
"If you want to blame anyone blame the NSAC... Now all of the sudden they want to follow the rules. That wasn't in line with the spirit of the event" (so bend the rules for PAC max?)
"Had PAC postponed the fight he would've been out for at least 12 months who knows if Floyd would would still be fighting?"
(It was an old injury that he's been fighting with for years if he re aggravated it ... Some rest would've had him ready for September without surgery)
I'm sure someone will post the link but seriously Max normally is the most level headed on HBO but This is the first time I honestly can say I think ... That's over with. Max has compromised the only thing that made him a decent analyst...
There was nothing wrong with Pacquaio's right hand in the fight. He threw it as much as he threw his left. Pacquaio just got his ass whipped by a superior fighter. Kellerman knows this, but is not willing to acknowledge it. If there was a rematch, Mayweather would win more easily than he did the first time. Kellerman knows this, but will never say it on HBO because, as you said, he was reminded which side his bread was buttered on.Comment

HE is correct, the NSAC is to blame for the simple reason, it is their soul responsibility to make sure that the fighters safety is paramount, if they found out two hours before the fight that Pac was injured, why deny him the legal pain killers, USADA even vouched for him and they did the drug testing.
A lot of fighters don't check of injured when they go in not 100 percent, Floyd and Oscar were both given pain killers before fights and they were never injured. Why didn't they give Pac the shot? this is whats fishy to me. NSAC let a injured man in the ring, its the responsibility of the NSAC to cancel a fight for fighters safety.
I remember there was a fight where a UFC fighter said he hurt his arm an hour before the fight and he was scrapped from the card. NSAC should have either canceled the fight or gave the legal pain killers before.
They let the fight go on for money and let a man in with a disadvantage going in and injury, if they gave Pac his pain killers and let the fight go on than they would have a leg to stand on in the lawsuit, now they are equally at fault and canceled out their suit toward pac.
They should have just gave him the shot, after the fight they could have filed the lawsuit that he lied on his contract. Now they are trying to cover their tracks.Last edited by hectari; 05-09-2015, 10:35 PM.Comment

Hey I normally hate Max, but he is correct here. ESPN FNF's seemed to back up Pac too. They brought on a doctor in which she perfectly explained it is reasonable that Pac's shoulder did prevent him from throwing his right. They even showed replays of Floyd pulling down on Manny's right arm.
This was after the moronic rant by Teddy Atlas. In Teddy's mind selfies = no injury.Comment
