In my opinion Roach is a trainer who is only good for fighters. Kinda like how Manny Steward was a good trainer for tall guys with good right hands. Roach helped Pac learn to throw a right hook, but thats about all I've seen as far as Pac's development.

I'm not sure if Roach gives Prov the attention he needs to develop better. Prov has some gifts but he is not a smart fighter.

Maybe Roach does have too many guys in his stable.

      those are all wildcard fighters

more than 1 trainer at the wildcard

im sure he was focusing too much on pacquaio to pay attention to gomez and provodnikov works mostly with another trainer, one of the filipinos i think

7 times trainer of the year though, and I wouldn't be surprised if he won it this year too although he lost the biggest fight of his life.

His inability to teach his fighters even basic defensive skills, such as slipping/blocking right hands, is alarming. Just look at how many straight rights Prov takes clean. His fight against Lucas was shocking. Pacquiao is a sitting duck for the straight right, as was Khan before he left Wild Card. It's like his fighters have had an 8 week camp, and haven't even discussed what to do when punches come back the other way.

Cotto, luckily, was technically sound enough before to only benefit from the offensive strategies Roach brings.
Cotto had begun looking gunshy before Roach, and is now looking like the old bull Cotto.

Khan did seem to allude to Freddie's condition worsening and hindering his ability to train as he left Wildcard- I can't recall exactly what he said, but I do remember thinking it was as if Khan was implying Freddie, due to his condition, doesn't have the capacity to train fighters properly anymore.

Roach got rid of Michael Moorer, and its funny he brought in Moorer to help teach Pacquiao new tricks and tactics, because he felt he taught Pac everything he already knew, once Moorer was getting close to Pac and getting credit for Pacs win over Hatton, Roach got rid of him with the quickness.

Roach ego is damaging his fighters, he is holding them back becuase he is addicted to the praise and awards that they throw his way.

He gets so much puss its not even funny, Roach gets hot woman feeling sorry for him and he uses that and ****s so many hot chicks in Hollywood. he needs to retire he only relies on trash talk and the same offense mitt work, no defense nothing. He is alredy worth millions the man is just greedy and jealous his ego won't let anyone else trian Pacquiao and look how Pac suffered, When Pac put on that impressive boxing against Rios that was all Manny not Roach. like Floyd sr said Pacquiao trains himself and Roach is just a mitt guy.
