Damn judges missed a good fight. Figueroa edged it but the officiating and scorecards were horrendous.

Yeah I think so too, he's tough and relentless but gets caught way too easily, Burns was snapping his head back a lot and doing some good body work, a natural 140 pounder with more pop and more skill/experience (no disrespect to Burns) would eat him alive, he's just too easy to hit, it's okay to be willing to take a few shots in exchanges but he's way too excessive lol.i think a solid in-fighter like peterson eats that kid alive. peterson has a lot more pop than burns and he has a nice body attack. maybe throw him in with guys like hank lundy or antonio demarco. looking at the top 10, im not sure he fares well against any of those guys. i bet him and john molina would be a fun fight
He's a good fighter to watch when you want to see a bit of brawling and a bit of action but the top guys at 140 will give him loads of trouble like you just said, if he just stands there and is willing to brawl with the likes of Provodnikov, Matthysse, Garcia or Peterson then he'll be in for a short career IMO.Comment

Burns CLEARLY looked like the better fighter and won at the least 7 rounds even with the 2 point deductions. Texas strikes again!!Comment

Happy for McDonnell, that was a great win for him. A good, close fight that one.
I feel sorry for Burns though. Those scorecards were bad, and Cole really is an awful ref. I have never seen a ref grab a fighter's arms the way he did.
Burns showed heart though..i didn't expect him to fight like that.
Nice KO from Joshua as expected..looking forward to Johnson up next.
I missed the Sturm, Macklin, Campbell and Smith fights..hopefully will catch them tomorrow.
I heard the Buglioni Vs Markham fight was really good ?
Hopefully now, the Canelo Vs Kirkland fight is a good one.Comment
