But Evander has always sided with #48. He respects TBE's skills and even told me to my face that if he beat Oscar he would be possibly the greatest. But he didn't like the whole testing fall out. Then I had to remind him about the testing that he did at the request of Tyson. Good conversations.
Why is it so hard for people to see that ANYONE who COULD evade a clean punch with the skill that Floyd has would do the same EXACT thing. He is a masterful boxer. Why should he dull down his skills for the sake of making a fight more competitive when his competition is simply inferior? The San Antonio Spurs are boring but no one ever questions their tactics or greatness. You know why? Because they consistently (through the years) move the basketball better than any other NBA franchise. Nobody checked Shaq's motives for simply backing down guys a third his size. You know why? Because he was imposing his will... That is exactly the same as what Floyd does... He imposes his defense on you, gets you out of your element and makes you forget how to fight even though you are standing right there in front of him. What could be more demoralizing than not being able to his something right in front of you? Holyfield did plenty of huggery in his hayday so he needs to cut it out with the ole "back in my day" approach. 48-0 with the resume Floyd has is special.. And please save the nonsense about timing in which he fought people because he fought them all following a significant win.
Its sad what the Pacquiao fanbase has reduced themselves to.
I finally realized today why his fans identity themselves with him.
And its not because they're "Warriors"
Classless, sore losers, cowards, weak minded people. They share the same traits
I'm not a Pacquiao fan, I'm a boxing fan, and have been for 30 yrs. I have a problem with all fighters that employ this tactic not Floyd specifically.
Maybe you as a Floyd fan need to take off your blinders and realize I am talking about boxing as a whole and not just Floyd/PAC , since thats what you wanna focus on. Why din gm you broaden your horizon and think about boxing outside of May/PAC.
No!!...I mean FOUR EIGHT...FORTY EIGHT consists of two digits if I'm not mistaken...a FOUR and a EIGHT...EVERY boxing fan should APPRECIATE Floyd...the man is the BEST in the sport hands down!!...as a fan of the sport I know true skill and greatness when I see it...don't have to be a Floyd fan to appreciate his skill and respect his game...it comes with being a real fan of the sport...I'm not a Cavs fan but I have the utmost respect for LeBron...it comes with knowing and loving the GAME as a fan!!
Evander Holyfield summed up very well in his article what irritates me about Mayweather's style of boxing. He will be maligned by Mayweather defenders as having taken too many on that big dome, but his article is the most lucid and compelling thing I have read by anyone laying out the reasons why Mayweather's defensive style is dissatisfying.
Mayweather's primary focus in a fight is not to allow himself to be hit. That is only a part of boxing. Aggressiveness and landing hard meaningful punches should have more merit in my opinion. The culture of sports commentating and boxing now is to shower Mayweather with praises for "dominating fights" when he basically really didn't fight and mostly played defense.
A lot of fan boys sin here on both sides of the isle should LISTEN to the REAL DEAL who was THEE MAN in the Heavyweight Division. He spoke the truth about boxing in general, not just this past Saturdays fight!
On one hand, she's sad because a Pacquiao win would've helped lift the Philippines. On the other hand she is happy because she hates how SOME people worship Pacquiao and don't hold him responsible for anything (i.e. his excuses, being a poor sport, not being aggressive, lying about an injury)which she feels turned him into an arrogant a**hole a long time ago. There's your answer!
Oh, so she is lying to you. Sorry to hear that. Well, its expected. She doesn't want to hurt your feelings.
I don't know him personally but people know that Manny is a kind generous person.
As for his injury, he had surgery. This injury was brought up to USADA weeks before the fight. The commissions new as well before the fight. Probably even Floyd knew ........ doctor was interviewed as well.
Poor sport? Manny was OK with his previous defeats. He was robbed against Bradley and didn't make a big deal of that.
If you think that ticks off your wife (she is lying to you) then what do you think she thinks of Floyd?
