The consistency level is silly. Froch hasn't fought in a year, so i can see their stance.
But Ward hasn't fought since Nov 2013 and has even been permitted to not defend the title against Smith.

Ward is such a hypocritical champion sometimes he really bothers me. I actually would rather see him fight Kessler with a better ref who wouldn't allow the constant headbutting..I mean ward literally does DAMAGE with his headbutts. I think he's like Mayweather, and the klits to where he is very good, but if you take away some of his cheap tactics he is average.

Ward will be better. In 2 years time he'll have Golovkin and Kovalev's scalps. He'll also probably add Froch's scalp again if Froch ever comes out of hiding. P4P #1 after TBE retires.

Why is everyone so confident in Ward? He has not fought a top quality opponent since Froch and that was 4 years ago. He doesn't even have that much confidence in himself because if he did, he would not be taking a tune up fight against an empty can on BET, he would be out there challenging a top contender the way the true great fighters did after a layoff. The guy has so much confidence in himself that he is fighting at 172 instead of 168 because he probably knows he can't make that weight anymore.
