      no need to defend.

if you fight 1-2 times a year, gotta be all top 10 guys.

if you fight 3,4, 5 a year, not all will be top guys.

ggg i'm sure would fight all the top 160 guys if he could.

You really have to feel for GGG, at 33 he can't find top class fighters with the nuts to fight him. I hope after Geale finishes with Cotto we can see a rematch and a title unification for GGG. Then maybe Andy Lee by the end of the year! Next!

Since that can't happen at the very fight Lee, he still kills him as well. He should just move up really, beating a bum in the 168 division is better than beating a bum in the 160 division at least.
Come on man, you really just brought up Adonis Stevenson? You know that match-up makes zero sense.

Relevant southpaws @154-168: Trout, Lara, Andrade, Lee, Heiland, Saunders, DeGale, Sanchez, Dirrell.

I agree that he should start testing out 168, but not against a DeGale or Dirrell. He should go and beat a basic fighter like Medina to get his name in the mix first. If he handles him, then try to get Abraham or Sturm next. After that, go after the notable names.

Abraham or Sturm will never fight him, they ducked him back in Germany as middleweights and GGG would destroy them easily. No one at 154 should be mentioned unless they are willing to move up to 160. There is no point in talking about Dirrell as he is with Haymon and cannot fight on HBO. The only money fight at 168 might be Ward in another year or so once Ward builds his name back up. Right now it would barely qualify as a regular HBO fight.

Who cares,, Golovkin is staying busy, let munroe get his fight.. Last I checked nobody with a big name really shows any interest in fighting Golovkin, and this is just a stay busy fight.. If Golovkin was fighting once or twice a year then I would be more pessimistic, but I can't hate on a stay busy fight... Golovkin already beat down Murray who in my eyes should have deserved the nod vs serg and sturm and been the lineal champ...

160 is where it's at, he can get Trout/Lara/Andrade/Quillin/Vanes..... Biggest $Payday$ possible in his career is against Canelo and Cotto @ 160, and the Canelo fight is likely to happen

he's pretty small north 168. Less money and recognition.
It would be a dumb move for him to move to 168.

Golovkin will likely be fighting two more times after this. He just beat Martin Murray who arguably beat Martinez before Cotto did. He's fought guys in the Top 10, he just wants a chance at the other belts, but they don't want it with him.

Monroe Jr is definitely a live underdog.

He fought an undefeated Brandon Adams who is also known for having a lot of power and he's been runnin through guys.

Obviously Brandon Adams isn't GGG... But it tells me that Monroe has felt big power before.

I'm willing to say Monroe will take him to a decision. He'll probably lose still.. But hey, going 12 with GGG is an accomplishment. Lol
