Can a fighter really have laid out a blueprint if they lost?

I dont see the point of this thread. Castillo already beat Floyd, so there is a blueprint. Just cos he was robbed against Floyd, doesnt mean it dont count.Comment

People still think Oscar did something in the Floyd fight? All he did was throw punches and miss Floyd cleanly the entire fight.Comment

The confusion lies in the way its usually worded
A fighter could lose a fight and still expose certain weakness in his opponents that other fighters were incapable of exploiting
Having the right gameplan, fighting the RIGHT fight, despite the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent, and having moments of success, is what some consider the "Blueprint"
It doesnt always work because every fighter is different but in theory, the answer to your question is yes IMOComment

Like a rough draft of the blue print, sure. The more talented guy who can execute it better can put the finishing touches.Comment

Sure the can. They go into the ring with a well thought out battle plan. But no blueprint will work if the guy they are fighting is too good of fighter for them to defeat. The guy they are fighting has a battle plan too. He wants to win too. It comes down to who is the smarter more skilled fighter.Comment
