If Cotto wanted to stay in contention for a rematch with Mayweather he should never of signed with Roc Nation. Haymon refuses to work with them. After Roc Nation outbid everyone for a fight with Quillen, Haymon made his fighter vacate the belt and turn down a career high payday just to prove how badly he wants nothing to do with Jay-Z. Their beef goes way back to the music business. So now that's the first hurdle preventing Cotto from fighting Mayweather. Second is HBO. HBO made it clear the only reason they bought his next fight was if Cotto assured them his next fight is a super fight with Canelo. I doubt HBO likes hearing Cotto's idiot manager talk about fighting Mayweather next which would only happen Showtime cutting HBO out. HBO initially refused to air his next fight and where upset that he pulled out during the first negotiations for him to fight Canelo this summer. My guess is HBO will or has already made Cotto sign something saying his next fight has to be with Canelo. HBO is smart and would never allow him to fight a warm up on HBO and then bounce and fight somebody else on another network.

This rematch would be bonkers. Floyd going for 3 lineal titles simultaneously. Lineal in 5 different divisions in his career and world champion in 6 different divisions.

Khan and Thurman pale in comparison. Also this fight is guaranteed to do 1M+ PPV, unlike Khan and Thurman.

This fight #1 on my wish list for Floyd in September. Stay tuned.

Geale was approved without a Canelo fight guaranteed. If he had fought Heiland or K-9 it was under the condition he fight Canelo, not Geale.

Fight will never happen because Cotto is with Jay Z and Haymon owns Floyd.

I heard Jay and Haymon got beef, when Haymon tried to steal do a snake business deal on Beyonce with the help of her father.

Also I doubt Cotto could fight Mayweather with MW title on the line since GGG is Cotto's mandatory and Cotto hasn't defended the title in over a year. He'll most likely have to vacate because we all know he aint fighting GGG.

Then you aren't looking very hard. HBO would only approve K-9 or Heiland to face Canelo, Geale is not part of that condition. Read some articles it's one of the thousand about Cotto looking for an opponent. Why would they have something signed to HBO then Cotto's adviser mention Mayweather?

I guess Jay-Z and Beyonce hate Floyd so much they paid 100k to go watch him fight live right? Whatever beef is there is now gone or at least it's not a big enough issue to NOT make money with.
