If it's at a catchweight, it's possible that Broner beats a drained Porter.

A healthy Porter will beat Broner's ass. Little doubt in my mind.

      Broner wide UD
Broner has never shown the skill or timing Brook has, and he sure as hell isn't as strong.

Interesting fight at 144... If it was 147 I would pick Porter no doubt - at 144 I think Broner has a chance but I still see Porter being busier than Broner over 12 rounds. Broner is a cheap imitation of Mayweather and he doesn't fight for 3 minutes of every round. Mayweather can get away with it because he is deadly accurate when he does punch and he is hard to hit. Broner is hittable and doesn't throw enough punches.

Porter by UD or a late stoppage.

Adrien Broner's foot work is not nearly as good as Kell Brook's nor is he as long or wide as him either. In addition, compared to Shawn Porter, Adrien is the naturally smaller man who is not as physically strong, undersized and lacking punching power at welterweight. Overall, this is a very bad style match up for Adrien Broner as I tend to favor Porter by a decision victory.

At 147 I'd pick Porter, but can he even make 144? Kind of a bullshit move if they're trying to bring him down that far.

If Broner clinches Porter each 5 seconds, he will prevail...

Not as strong or physical no, but he's decent on the outside and if he can time Porters lunges i think he stands a good chance. Porter looks awfully limited, not that Broner has a huge skill set but i think he has more than Porter.

Maidana's success came from working off of his jab and throwing punches at awkward angles.

Porter rushes at you in a straight line and leaves himself open. Right now I favor Broner in this matchup.

He can't move very well, though, and his defense is average as hell. He won't be able to control Porter inside. If you can't move away from Porter, you need to be able to control him, and I'm very confident Broner can't. He can't hold him, because he isn't strong enough, and he doesn't punch hard enough to hurt him.

If it's at 144, he better hope 144 drains Porter. Otherwise Broner gets mauled.

Pretty much this. I don't see how Porter can go less than 147 though without killing himself. Broner needs to keep his ass at 140 and stop trying to be WW.
