When Berto went down in defeat, he showed professionalism and gave it his all. Zab Judah has accomplished for more, and likely more than he every will, than Broner.

That aside, I agree with what you said.
The reason for the comparison (at least to Berto) is likely the idea that someone pushed hard by Al Haymon as "The Next Coming" ends up getting matched against someone who is fundamentally a lesser fighter, yet manages to make "The Next Coming" look average.

Nobody believed that Victor Ortiz was better than Berto. But Berto was holding on for dear life in that fight. Got knockdowns, but ultimately didn't get the job done when he should have.

Few believed that Shawn Porter was better than Broner. But Broner was holding on for dear life in that fight. Got a knockdown, but ultimately didn't get the job done when he should have.

In both fights the favored fighter was exposed. Thus the comparison.

In terms of fundamentals, Adrien Broner should NOT have lost against Shawn Porter. That Broner was able to drop Porter with a single punch tells me that Broner could have put Porter away if he'd just put in the damn effort and take risks. Broner has the power and he has the speed, he just doesn't use it.

Broner has been matched terribly with madiana and porter

Maidana too big and busy- I predicted maidana to win that fight

          Same with porter

Schaefer made the madiana broner fight. And haymon made the porter fight

Doesn't make sense since broner is a popular fighter .

The key to beating Broner was figured out by Maidana and duplicated by Porter. For all the skills he has he just can't fight going backwards. He can stand his ground and walk an overmatched fighter down but if you bring it to him all he can do is retreat and reset.

No way, hell the guy in your avatar won multiple CW fights imposed by smaller guy: Oscar, Pavlik, Wright.

AB went from being, in his words, "Mr. HBO", "the face of boxing", and "unbeatable", to "who cares, I got paid doe".

Seriously, deserved or not (clearly not), at one point not long ago, Broner's stock was incredible. He had one of the highest stocks in the sport for a minute. Now his stock is in the f**king toilet, man.

I just hope that Broner's family are financially protected so that they can live well off of what they have now, cuz honestly I don't see Broner making a lot of money later in his career and I don't think he's been too smart about his finances, sad to see someone with such talent become another average fighter cuz of lack of discipline and mental toughness, but it is what it is, this makes u appreciate fighters like Mayweather, Hopkins, Ward and Rigondauex and so on cuz even though they're talented their discipline and work ethic were always at the highest level and even though Mayweather made more money than any boxer in history and was the highest paid athlete in the world, he trains like he's broke and fighting to feed his family where he doesn't have to even run 2 feet, the guy can get a million dollar check everyo month just from interest, yet he still pushed himself to be the P4P best in the world, Broner never had these characteristics in fact he's the exact opposite.
