The fighters aren't complaining because Haymon gets them overpaid for mismatch fights and protects them from having to take tough fights. Promoters hate Haymon because he is taking money off their table by not working with them. Fans hate him because he is the stop gap from good fights being made. I could care less if broner makes big paydays being a protected fighter facing bums. PBC is not good for boxing. A corny UFC knockoff where only Haymon stable fighters fight and the best even in his stable don't fight each other. Why isn't khan fighting Thurman or any of the half dozen good fighters in Haymon stable?
It's clear from Dibella statements that he's been taking the d*** in his a$$ from Al Haymon as well. Rumor has it there's a *** tape with dibella getting bukake from sam Watson and leo Santa Cruz about to hit the web

Grow up, if you don't have anything constructive to add to article just read and be quiet.
Promoters are needed to invest the money in the fighter. They put up the money to put on the event. Often times promoters lose lots of money on a fighter building him up before they see a profit.
Haymon's model, and the model that he seems to see for boxing, is different. Haymon 'invests' his own money in the fighters that he works with, not taking a penny from them until they're starting to really eat, clearing up some of the headaches that come with being a fighter, and doing everything in his power to get his fighters opportunities and keeping them as busy as they want to be.
The more you win, the bigger the opportunities become, but even if you lose (as long as you put up a game fight), opportunities will still come to you. Riskier than the old model, but the fighter gets what they're worth and not a penny less.
What's hilarious is Dibella lists out things that GBP did when SCHAEFER was leading it...
The Barclays deal
The Canelo deal
The HBO output deal
The same guy who was RINGSIDE for that Barclays show he's now touting.
To try and throw all of those deals on Schaefer is a bit silly, given the facts. Canelo stuck with Oscar when the fallout was happening (even with Oscar in rehab for the biggest fight of his career) and Canelo was the one who went along with Oscar on the move to HBO. Beyond that, I'm pretty sure that HBO didn't put Golden Boy on HBOLatino due to anything that Schaefer wasable to schmooze (the FS1 deal is a different matter).
lol he stated strait facts instead of pr bull **** funny how the facts defend haymon oscar and golden boy are so full of **** its ridiculous. they doin it for the fans doe
Lou sounds dumb when he starts going and in the middle says he didn't even read the lawsuit or address whether or not what AL is doing is illegal or against the Ali Act. His whole response is Golden Boy is hypocrites? Why because the CEO who got kicked out on his butt and sued by Oscar. Oscars beef with Schaefer is that he was controlled by Haymon. Lou is defending AL because he is one of his latest stooges helping circumvent the rules. Point is PBC is not good for boxing. It's a crappy product with mismatches. Lou knows dam well he is not promoting these fights he is a yes man taking orders from Haymon. Haymon Is breaking laws and is a stop gap to fights boxing fans want to see. Whether Golden Boy was a Haymon puppet under Schaefer is irrelevant.
Dibella pointed out that the letter and sense behind the Ali Act was to prevent promoters from controlling managers, who are supposed to act in the interest of their fighter, and not protect promoters (which is the sense that one gets from reading the press release from Golden Boy, which DiBella acknowledged reading).
Citing information that was in the press release, DiBella goes on to point out how the very actions that Golden Boy, as a company, have done for years are the things that they are now declaring to be noncompetitive.
should've probably re-read what Lou said before your comment.
