Oh yeah Geale the homie bringing that sweet WBC gold home to Australia baby! Cotto wants to fight a real, fit middleweight?! Bring it! Cotto is going to be heading back to Puerto Rico in a bodybag!

Here's the latest news direct from WBC... interesting how Cotto is at 164.8 and Geale is already at 158 but Cotto wants a catchweight for the fight. Maybe it will be Cotto who will be drained come fight time.

WBC middleweight Champion Miguel Cotto (39-4-0, 32 KOs) fights Daniel Geale (31-3, 16 KOs), on June 6th in Brooklyn, New York.

No problems, as Both breezed the 30 days weigh in ordered by the WBC, which has the main purpose of carefully monitoring the fighters' weight' as a health priorority.

The Champion was 164.8 lbs, while the title contender was 158 lib. The limit of the division is 160lib.

This will be the first title defense of the WBC belt that Cotto conquered last June, defeating Argentinian Sergio “Maravilla” Martínez, at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Cotto says he's delighted to again be fighting in New York, and he's fully aware of his rival´s quality, so he's absolutely determined to give his all!.

Geale replied he's really motivated for this fight, not only because he will face Cotto, but also because he wants to become the new WBC Champion.

If Geale really is at 158 and not 168 due to a typo, then the CW doesn't even matter. I highly doubt it's 158, it has to be a typo no? 4 weeks out from the fight... If it's true then Geale shouldn't be a MW either.

Seemed strange to me as well. I guess it could be a typo but that is the exact text from the WBC email I received. If it is a typo, they also made it in the Spanish version of the text.

Definetly a typo, Cotto has been in and out of training since December, and Roach is on record saying Cotto is wallking around a few pounds over his fighting weight.

He is a carbon copy of Yuri Forman, hight, length and fighting style. Cotto wins with in 8.
