Why has Mexican boxing gone so downhill?

When JMM retires who have they got?

Leo Santa Cruz looks like he will be cannon fodder if he fights anyone like Frampton or Rigo. I haven't seen any Quigg fights but he looks huge would LSC beat him even?

Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr will struggle to find anyone at all who he can beat at 175 or 168.

Gilberto Ramirez looks to be of similar quality to JCC Jnr.

Canelo seems like the best Mexican at the minute but looks very beatable. I thought the Trout fight was super close, could have gone either way, and the Lara fight I gave to Lara 7-5. Can't see how it could have been scored for Canelo.

Why has Mexican boxing deteriorate so much? Everyone choosing to play football rather than box in Mexico maybe?

You should most definitely watch more boxing if you are going to comment on boxing.

Do you know who Juan Francisco Estrada is? How about Carlos Cuadras, Moises Flores, Oscar Valdez, Miguel Berchelt, Andy Ruiz, Carlos Diaz, Andres Gutierrez, Antonio Orozco, Ivan Morales...

I haven't even brought up already established guys like Mares and Santa Cruz. I think Mexican boxing is doing ok...lol

Canelo isn't a horrible fighter, he'll fill the void in the meantime.

I agree with the guys you mentioned in the 2nd paragraph. As for Mares & LSC, they started out catching everyones eye but are now with Haymon and have been fighting chumps for the most part while losing respect from hardcore fans

So because Al Haymon is trying to monopolize boxing, and hasn't given Cruz the fight we all want to see, he's now a coward...lol

Mares, who's resume as about as good as it gets in boxing, and got knocked out by one of the hardest punchers in boxing, is now finished as well...lol

Fans of boxing are hilarious. Mexico has great fighters now, has had them for decades and will continue to have them in the future. Boxing without Mexicans is like marathons without Kenyans.
