he could plausibly beat walters and rigondeaux within the next two years, which should leave him somewhere near the apex of a post-mayweather boxing landscape

I voted yes but I don't think there will be a clear cut #1 in the sport within the next few years (which is a great thing IMO). Loma will definitely have a good claim to be the best though.

Lomosexual here checking in. One of my favorite fighters to watch. Beautiful footwork, technique, and combination punching. Just flat out a great boxer who is definitely capable of reaching the top of the p4p rankings.

Very unlikely he becomes a star but who gives a ****, his skill set will be appreciated by real boxing fans throughout his career.

Yeah I mean generally he will be the consensus number 1 fighter and best in the sport, not necessarily the guy who sells the most tickets or makes all the money like Floyd.

i like Loma, a lot, but like i said in another thread, there is moments in his fights where he doesn't do anything, like in the russell jr fight, he had him hurt, but didn't go for the KO. still, when he let his hands go, he shows a lot of potential, i love his combinations.

Let's have him dominate featherweight first by beating Walters and another top contender, and hopefully fight Rigo. Then we can think of the possibility of what will happen if he moves up.

I agree with you, but I notice he is more passive at the start of fights as he gets into a rhythm, then steps it up and puts on clinics. I think he needs to work on sitting down on his punches more and making sure he continues his combinations to body and head to finish people off. Perhaps it will not be necessary, yet it will gain him fans and more plaudits for excitement.

He's still yet to dominate featherweight. I don't undertandand the constant obsession with having fighters move up when there's still plenty of work to be done at their current divison.
