Only guy I think has a chance at 154 and below is Amir Khan.

Thurman is the only guy at 147 who COULD MAYBE beat Floyd now.

But I have my doubts because:

-- Aggression is no longer a part of boxing that judges care about.
-- Especially when Home Town Floyd is involved

And truly, Floyd is beautifully evasive. Props to him for that.

I do wish boxing were always about FIGHTING and BEATING PEOPLE instead of just dancing and scoring. I mean, Floyd compares himself (favorably!) to Ali, but there's a big difference. Ali usually got around to damaging his opponents.

There isn't anyone. GGG is about as close as it gets, though despite his record, he hasn't really given me any reason to believe he'd fare any better than Cotto did.

The people who thought there was a fighter from 147-154 who can beat Mayweather, said it's between Canelo and Pacquiao. Both fights happened and both guys lost. Like I have always said, for Floyd to get beaten even at past prime, he'd have to fight well beyond his weight, like Golovkin(170-173lbs on fn) or Ward(176lbs). Basically fighters so much bigger than him that it wouldn't even be a fair fight at all. The guys he was supposedly afraid of, Mosley, Canelo, Pacquiao all lost.

Mayweather used to hurt people. He ran into problems with his hands though. Just bad luck.

Probably only GGG, but that fight won't happen. I think a Thurman fight would be a rerun of the Canelo fight. Thurman inexplicably trying to box Maweather, and losing terribly in the process. Kahn could give him problems with his reach, speed, and most importantly jab.
