You can say Danny is a young undefeated (questionable) champion all you want, but he does not belong in the ring with Floyd. He does not have the fighting style, the resume (147) or even the momentum to warrant a Floyd fight. This would be a mismatch. Besides, he has looked average in his last two fights against legit opponents.

Floyd should fight Amir Khan. He at least has the tools to make it interesting and he is coming off solid performances at welterweight. Keith Thurman would be a good opponent as well.

This would be the easier route. Wouldnt blame floyd for taking that bs "0" on danny record. I doubt angel would want this fight , he dont even want his son at 147. They will just wait until floyd retires

This fight would be a joke. Pacquiao rematch.

Furthermore, if he does decide to move up to welterweight and Floyd decides not to move up to middleweight to challenge for a title; I still think he is more deserving of a Floyd fight than a Keith Thurman, Amir Khan or Kell Brook for that matter. He has fought and defeated better fighters on his resume than all those previous fighters I mentioned combined.
I agree with everything besides the resumes, Khan has fought a hell of a lot of names and has had two fights at 147 and Garcia has done nothing at 47, I respect everything he did at 140 but all that is irrelevant in a new division.

im a garcia fan but his last 12 months have been horrible.

the controversial fights against herrera and peterson plus the easy fight against salka.

I do agree that danny deserves the fight over khan, but danny just doesnt have the momentum for a floyd fight right now.

I have always wanted danny too get the Floyd fight at some point during the 6 fight contract but that ship has sailed. Floyd/Garcia should have happened may 2014

Thurman is the right fight for Floyd's finale.

                Is this a joke thread?

                Danny Garcia sucks.

He can't even beat some of the best guys at 140lb.

since everything at 140 is irrelevant, shouldn't Thurman get the fight over khan?

Thurman has a better resume at 147 than amir does

I don't think the fight is even close. Mayweather is way to good for Garcia. Garcia just won a very close fight with Peterson. Do you think Mayweather would have a close fight with Peterson? I don't. There are lots of undefeated fighters but only one Mayweather.

agree with all your points pro-Garcia.

i still think Cotto for the 160lb title is more likely and a bigger fight.
