Should clinching be banned from boxing altogether?

It make sit less entertaining and these guys are supposed to be strikers not grapplers!

Why not have a 0 tolerance on clinching, you can only block and use the usual defensive measures and punch thats it.

If you clinch just once you get a point deducted.

This whole hanging on thing is effective, has become popular lately, and it is boring gay and un entertaining.

Guys are going to get tied up, it just happens.

Was it just me who thought Floyd hardly held at all?

I mean, he did clinch a few times but really Manny was very rarely at a distance where Floyd could clinch.

Someone said there was 13 over the entire fight. Not many at all.

Good thing there wasn't many clinches in the Floyd/Manny fight. It's reall like some people didn't even watch it to complain about clinching. In the second half of the fight, there were almost none. Floyd used the check hook when Manny cornered him instead.

Go back and watch the fight and then watch Matthysse/Provodnikov. Matthysse held more clearly.
