YES YES AND MORE YES. Clinch a few times in the fight, okay fine. Clinch thirty times in a fight to avoid combat, **** that you should be disqualified. Just like with the may vs pac fight, I mean come on how can you look at that and think "wow what a fair fight." Jeez these floyd fans are just absolutely disgusting. Boxing should be about "fighting." Yes don't go at it like rock em sock em robot but damn when one fighter is doing nothing but pot shotting and clinching where do you draw the damn line?

Let's hear the thoughts on the rules of a sport that 99% of the people posting on this site have never competed in ON ANY LEVEL ... Let alone the pro level. Should be good...

Go watch Mayweather at his clinching best against Maidana.

There should be a penalty for fighters who clinch excessively, as have been boxers who were penalized for holding or clinching long after a ref asked them to break up.

But not for a boxer who uses it as a defensive tactic when necessary.

in that fight yes he should of gotten some points taken away.but in his fight against manny there wasn't really that much clinching.

So, the moral of the story is clinching should be abolished because Pacquiao lost to a better fighter.

Will send a request to the boxing commission for review first thing in the morning.
