There are a lot of fighters with loses that are considered greater than both Pacquiao and Floyd.

floyd and pacquaio are in the same weight class and fought a lot of the same fighters. pacquiao took a few L's in the process. sorry but that hurts his legacy. floyd has fought top competition(including pacquiao) and has came out unblemished. i don't even know how this is an argument.....and you can't use the duran-leonard comparison because at least duran beat leonard once.

I thought they were pretty close accomplishment wise (Pac probably accomplished a bit more considering his FW run) before they fought.

Yeah it a great win for FLoyd regardless, but i agree. The timing of this fight was 5 years past what it should've been. It's just what it is.


Going further, if you look at the overall spectrum.

We're later going to be comparing this Mega Fight, to Duran vs Leanord, and it falls short simply because one was prime for prime, and the other both were past it.

That's the only thing that hurts it, the timing. But a great win nonetheless.

Yes he did surpass him. Mayweather is the best fighter of his generation. It was a victory that filled in the only hole on his resume.
