      If Golovkin cuts off the ring and knocks him out early, I wouldn't give Floyd a prayer but if Monroe can go 12 and frustrate Golovkin a case can at least be made although realistically there's zero chance of the bout eventuating, tough enough getting him in with Pac years later.
      I'm not expecting a quick KO of Monroe. Golovkin chose him for a reason and he intends to get a good number of rounds in against him, just as he did against Murray. I expect this to go at least 9 or 10 rounds unless GGG catches him with something early that Monroe cannot handle. I would also expect an early knockdown within the first 4 rounds as Golovkin tests his power. I'm expecting a very similar fight to the Murray fight as far as events go.

        He can't beat Golovkin unless Golovkin is drained. Golovkin is massive, has one of the better jabs in the sport, is one of the best at cutting off a ring, and wouldn't feel a damn thing Mayweather throws. It only lasts however long Mayweather can take those sledgehammer fists.

        It's a ridiculous fight. Either Golovkin beats up a welterweight, or Mayweather dances around a drained middleweight. Either way, it's ******.

          Well either way we should see how well Golovkin is able to cut off a ring.

              I am a Floyd Mayweather fan and NO WAY he beats GGG.

              GGG=MaidanaX2 to the square root

              My mathical calculations say that GGG walks in on Floyd without fear and swings bombs on him with no regard on where they land, non-stop like an Edwin Valero. Floyd would feel the damage and excruciating pain, forcing him to knee to a ten count or quit on his stool.

                Is Mayweather a better fighter P4P than Golovkin? Yes, I'm pretty sure in this. But the guy is way too big for Mayweather so I'm not convinced that May would beat him at this point. And I think the only people who seriously demands Mayweather to fight Golovkin are the ones who wanna see him lose badly and no matter to them that they demand him two fight a guy who is two sizes bigger than him, a full fledged middleweight against a not really big welterweight.

                  However I think a fighter with similar style as Mayweather but in bigger size, I mean Andre Ward would beat Golovkin and also Kovalev on a same one sided fight as May beat Pac this weekend. He would dismantle them and make them think twice before they throw. But first I want to see him bounce back after the long lay off I think this one Paul Smith fight will be enough for him to do it.

                    No he can't but honestly I don't think he should be asked to either. Last fight v kahn or whatever is plenty, while a GGG fight is about the only floyd PPV I'd actually buy at this stage, I don't think he should be expected to fight him. Putting him in with Golovkin is just an exercise in wanting to see mayweather lose tbh.

                    He can't win due to a couple of reasons ... first if you've ever sparred a guy who is considerably bigger than you (combined with the fact that you aren't a huge puncher while he even for guys much bigger than you has huge power (he put lightheavy weight kovalev down for fecksake)) you'll find that your best shots won't bother him in the least while his jab alone will have your head spinning. Against guys his own size floyd has more than enough pop to make them quiet and cautious ... hell look what he did to manny. GGG however won't be the least bit fazed by even floyd's best shots and will just keep coming. Combined with GGG other's advantages, great engine, good at cutting off the ring, great jab and good all round skills and it's just a nightmare fight for floyd. He's gonna be thinking about his health now with just one fight to go, so there is simply no reason for him to risk taking a beating against by a beast like Golovkin.

                    At anything close to 160 it's a complete mismatch ... having said all that maybe at 154 it would be interesting

                      I think GGG kills Floyd at 160, but I will say this. Floyd has a way of always grinding a fight down to his pace. Not exactly sure how, but he is a master at it. So it could be interesting.
